I hope Bill Weld does well in the Republican primary. The RNC is making the same mistakes DWS made in 2016. Some states are trying not to have a republican primary next tear in order to protect Trump. That shit played a bigly part in getting Trump “elected” in the first place, the way the DNC favore d Hillary.

The D-field is too crowded, with too many people of the same types running against and cannibalizing each other . They need to pare it down to 5 or less. Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, John Delaney, maybe Biden

Only way I’m on board with impeachment is if we also get to take down Pence . In many ways I fear a President Pence more than I currently dislike President Trump.

I bet Pence would have made far better use of those two years when the Republicans essentially had control of the federal government.

Trump will be re elected because both parties continue to run candidates that represent the far right and left 5%. If either party we're to run a quasi moderate they'd win in a landslide. But the Dems will run someone left of Bernie and alienate all the people in the middle and it's human nature to dislike change.

I think this is the main reason no-one has tried to impeach T rump. I have a buddy who is a democrat and that is the number one reason he is against trying to impeach, because inevitably P ence would replace him. Im, on the other side of the fence in that I think Pence would be a better president but I understand that line of reasoning.

Honestly? For me, this is the best news to come out of Washington in a very long time. As much as I loathe Donald Trump, I do not believe that impeaching him is the way to go. I think Pelosi said it just right. I also think -- hope -- that Mueller’s report does not implicate the president, which would be a win-win because Rs can say, “See? Nothingburger,” and Ds can say, “See? Mueller has integrity.” Then we can move on to the next 17 investigations.

I don’t particularly think she really fits into my description (she’s the in the group that is closer to center being left behind by Bernie AOC etc...) , she is and was just un- electable . My personal viewpoint is that the average of politicians is still center, just that both sides have ran equal distance from the center.

Nancy Pelosi did much this week to reframe the entire politick, in my opinion. She said, and I paraphrase, “Unless something really big and bipartisan turns up, we’re not going to impeach. He’s not worth it .” My italics, and that part is a quote. Pelosi is very savvy. I think she’s getting the AOCs and the Omars under control as well. After all, AOC and Omar could be Pelosi’s granddaughters ...

It is smart, politically, to no impeach unless confident he could be removed. Actually, it’s probably smart, politically, to keep Trump in office to up their odds in 2020. But I have no idea what Pence’s favorability numbers are.
