... and their fearless leader, are going to get Trump re-elected.
Ugh.
Assuming he’s not impeached, of course, but...
I’ m not for impeachment. This is news. ” - Nancy Pelosi

The Democrats have found their Green Tea Party.

That lead image bothers me so much.

Wow... is that a ttyymmnn original?
The tea party finally got their guy in 2016. Does this mean we should expect success for AOC 2024?

Why yes, it is a ttyymmnn original!
I am so sick and tired of hearing about AOC.

I think it’s more of a Chai tea party. Or Mint Medley.

Don’t impeach, let agent orange finish so he and that family of his can be hauled up on endless state charges.
The so-called right, the most sensitive snowflakes in the land, will no doubt be triggered by a kid in a t-shirt, and run to their orange safe space (as their own lot continues to decline). But they were going to vote orange anyway.

I hope Bill Weld does well in the Republican primary. The RNC is making the same mistakes DWS made in 2016. Some states are trying not to have a republican
primary next
tear in order to protect Trump. That shit played a bigly part in getting Trump “elected” in the first place, the way the DNC favore
d Hillary.
The D-field is too crowded, with
too many people of the same types running against
and cannibalizing each other
. They need to pare it down to 5 or less. Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, John Delaney, maybe Biden

Only way I’m on board with impeachment is if we also get to take down Pence . In many ways I fear a President Pence more than I currently dislike President Trump.
I bet Pence would have made far better use of those two years when the Republicans essentially had control of the federal government.

I'm close in age to the people in the second picture. But I've read the green new deal and I don't see how they plan to do any of it. It's ambitious but I don't think I could support it.

Please tell me that your platform is to remove the chicken tax and 25-year import ban. If so, you have my vote.

I tried to tell this to someone over the weekend. They would not believe me.

We will lift the import ban but also
ban crossover coupes like the BMW X4 and Mercedes GLE coupe
.

Trump will be re elected because both parties continue to run candidates that represent the far right and left 5%. If either party we're to run a quasi moderate they'd win in a landslide. But the Dems will run someone left of Bernie and alienate all the people in the middle and it's human nature to dislike change.

I think this is the main reason no-one has tried to impeach T rump. I have a buddy who is a democrat and that is the number one reason he is against trying to impeach, because inevitably P ence would replace him. Im, on the other side of the fence in that I think Pence would be a better president but I understand that line of reasoning.

All Trump has to do is get the same votes he got last time... especially if the Ds put up another candidate as bad as Hillary.

Honestly? For me, this is the best news to come out of Washington in a very long time. As much as I loathe Donald Trump, I do not believe that impeaching him is the way to go. I think Pelosi said it just right. I also think -- hope -- that Mueller’s report does not implicate the president, which would be a win-win because Rs can say, “See? Nothingburger,” and Ds can say, “See? Mueller has integrity.” Then we can move on to the next 17 investigations.

I have no idea what to hope for anymore. I just want him gone (and hopefully, in prison).

I don’t particularly
think she really fits into my description
(she’s the in the group that is closer to center being left behind by
Bernie AOC etc...)
, she is and was
just un-
electable
. My personal viewpoint is that the average of politicians is still center, just that both sides have ran equal distance from the center.

if Democratic voters stay home again they deserve another 4 years of Trump.
but I fear we’ll be re- litigating the 2016 election for another 20 years. people will be in nursing homes still muttering about Hillary.

You don’t need to promise things you can’t deliver for my vote, just focus on the important stuff and it will all fall into place.
I could get behind a manual mandate on all new cars - require all vehicles sold in the US to have a manual option.

No Twitter in prison... I makes me insane that we’re going to be paying over a million dollars a year for this asshole’s expenses for the rest of his life.

He’d tweet from prison in defiance of the rules and there’d be nothing anybody could — or would — do about it.
You know, it just struck me that his push to get reelected could be as much about running out the statute of limitations as anything else, since we’ve decided that a sitting president can’t be indicted...

Nancy Pelosi did much this week to reframe the entire politick, in my opinion. She said, and I paraphrase, “Unless something really big and bipartisan turns up, we’re not going to impeach.
He’s not worth it
.” My italics, and that part is a quote. Pelosi is very savvy. I think she’s getting the AOCs and the Omars under control as well. After all, AOC and Omar could be Pelosi’s
granddaughters
...
![]() 03/14/2019 at 14:12 |

It is smart, politically, to no impeach unless confident he could be removed. Actually, it’s probably smart, politically, to keep Trump in office to up their odds in 2020. But I have no idea what Pence’s favorability numbers are.
